Through the modalities of Craniosacral Therapy, Yoga, and the Alexander Technique you will learn to inhabit your body with solidity and grace. Craniosacral Therapy soothes your nervous system and brings into awareness your intrinsic wholeness. Yoga strengthens you physically and mentally. Your body will become evenly strong and flexible. Your mind will become absorbed in your physical practice, and it will learn to rest—a mind at rest is present and alert. The Alexander Technique will teach you functional, balanced posture so that you move with a natural poise and fluidity. 

Yoga

INBODY WELLBEING guides you to connect with the intelligence in your system for a Yoga practice that is deeply informed with precision, awareness, and flow. The practice you receive may be vigorous if your body needs to stimulate energy; or it might be restorative if your body needs to relax. We may apply yogic breathing techniques (pranayama) which profoundly calm the mind; or you may meditate to learn how to be the still center in the midst of a turbulent world. We tailor each practice to support your personal health and wholeness.

INBODY WELLBEING also specializes in injury recovery. Sometimes injury occurs from an accident, but more often happens from poor use of the body or repetitive strain. Overworked muscles can only stop overworking if their underused counterparts pick up the slack. We “prescribe” an effective yoga sequence to build strength where you’re weak and teach over worked muscles to relax. This is how the body becomes evenly strong and flexible. An approach like this will make re-injury less likely in the future.

Craniosacral Therapy

There are few bodywork modalities that go as deep and heal on as many levels as Craniosacral TherapyThis work encourages your body to build its energy reserves to re-pattern and heal physical and emotional stress that’s been held in the nervous system. Every cell in your body has the ability to express a rhythmic movement or Craniosacral motion. This motion is fundamental to life. There is a blueprint in your body, or a way your body is intended to be organized, which may not necessarily correspond with how your tissue is actually “shaped”. When held for a period of time, these “shapes” become layered by life experience and can cause pain or “dis-ease” in the body.

INBODY WELLBEING uses a gentle, non-invasive contact to listen deeply and identify areas of tissue that are blocked or distorted. Through a supportive touch, we help access and restore your body’s rhythmic motion. This motion carries the essential forces for balance.

Alexander Technique

The Alexander Technique teaches functional alignment in the body. At INBODY WELLBEING, we identify the habitual patterns that cause you pain or discomfort; and educate you to release those patterns, restoring your movement to its natural poise and fluidity.

Most of us unknowingly create tension through mindless movement and poor posture. These patterns become ingrained from an early age and are a culmination of unconscious choices and life experiences. Through hands-on work, you’ll become aware of your habits and replace them with freer, more balanced posture. This is learned through the basics of standing, walking, and sitting. The principles of the Technique are also conveyed through a relaxing series of movements while lying supine.

Corporate Wellbeing

INBODY WELLBEING offers corporate wellness programs for forward thinking companies.  Through yoga breathing techniques, stretches, meditation, and workplace postural tips, your employees will learn ways to feel and work better.
